What to Include in a PCB or PCBA RFQ
A useful RFQ lets engineering separate bare-board fabrication from assembly, confirm the process route, and return a quote without avoidable clarification loops.
- Files: Gerber or ODB++, BOM, CPL/placement, assembly drawing, and revision status.
- Build: board type, layers, dimensions, thickness, material, finish, quantity, and target date.
- Test: IPC class, electrical or functional coverage, inspection records, traceability, and sourcing model.
Missing files can change the manufacturability review, component availability check, test plan, and schedule.
